FlatEarthVentures.com is looking for members of the Hawaii startup community to share their passion for a FlatEarth-type model. The goal is for all of us to get to know the “players” in the market via their written voices. If you already have a blog, great! Let us know and with your permission we’ll syndicate your posts on this site.

Quick Start Guide

  1. Register as a user by going to http://www.flatearthventures.com/wp-admin, clicking on the Register link, and going through the process.

  2. In about a busines day or two or less, you’ll get a confirmation email from the editor that you can post blogs.

  3. Go back to www. flatearthventures.com/wp-admin

  4. Login with your username & password.

  5. Click on Write, then Write Post,

  6. Enter the title and the body of what you want to say. You can click on “save and continue editing” to get a preview of sorts of your post ( just scroll down and you’ll see it).

    Make sure you’ve set the category correctly. Check only one category.

  7. Click on the “publish” button. That’s it!

Terms and Conditions for blogging on FlatEarthVentures.com

As of 10/31/05, we’ve added some very simple common-sense conditions so that everyone is clear:

  1. By posting as an author, you agree to these terms
  2. We reserve the right to terminate your posting priviledges at any time for any reason. If you do lose your posting priviledges, you have the option of deleting your posts which also deletes their comments.
  3. We have the right to delete any of your posts for any reason. We don’t want to edit your post. But if it’s got something in there that we don’t like we’ll just either delete it or change its status to draft so we can discuss the problems with it
  4. This is strictly a recreational activity. There is no relationship between you and FlatEarthVentures.com or its other bloggers. You’re not our employee, contractor, or anything other than someone that would like to publish your stuff on this blog.
  5. Keep your posts to topics relevant to everything else getting posted. This is a blog about new ventures as they apply to Hawaii. Keep it that way.
  6. If someone challenges what you’re saying, you need to be able to back it up with facts and links.
  7. The content should be suitable for all ages at all times. No dirty words. It’s your responsibility to delete any user comments in response to your posts that violate this rule.
  8. Your posts belong to you. You are responsible for saying what you say.
  9. Don’t break any laws when you post. Like, don’t violate copyright law.
  10. Don’t expect anything from us at all. We’re too busy having fun.
