Our mission/purpose is really simple: FlatEarthVentures is an organization centered around successful entrepreneurs that are dedicated to helping upcoming entrepreneurs succeed.
If you’ve always wanted a mentor…
When we were young, we would have loved to have a mentor who had been there, done that, and was willing to take us under their wing. We really wanted to be the apprentice to a master. While we will continually seek masters to help us in our own development, we realize that we’ve mastered enough successes to help other apprentices learn how to succeed in business.
Follow our simple steps to success
We’re not for everyone. Our business model is based building great products that people want to pay for and then licensing the product to larger companies that can make a lot of money. If you have a great product idea at nearly any stage of development, we’ll take you through these steps:
- Raise angel capital funding
- Protect the IP
- Develop public beta version
- Get customers
- Generate cash
- Find a buyer/licensor
- Help others do it too
What can we do for you?
We can help you achieve every step outlined above. We know we can help because we’ve been there and done that.
What will it cost?
We’re cheap, but we’re not free. We charge a fixed fee that’s paid in a blend of cash plus equity. Each portfolio company we choose to work with has a slightly different deal based on their own situation. The general idea will be to break up the steps outlined above, figure out which ones you need help on and negotiate the cash/equity blend.
